About Me

My name is Cory Podnar and I’m an entrepreneur working on my MBA.  My goal in life is to help stagnant or failing businesses succeed.  A main focus as a business coach is company systems and processes. Being skilled in operations management with solid experience managing all levels of various projects, I have what it takes to streamline businesses for success. I have always enjoyed working on the nuts and bolts of a company to increase its’ efficiencies and, ultimately, its’ value. At my core, I’m a problem-solving, efficiency-minded, out-of-the-box thinker who holds integrity and accountability above all else. My value proposition includes improving Profits, People, Perception, and Price or my “4 P’s of Precision Progress©”.

“Stop Doing the Mundane and Start Getting Weird!”

A Brief History

Cory Podnar has worked for a small family business in the asphalt industry for about a decade.  During his tenure at this business, he moved up from laborer, to manager, to sales estimator, and to business manager.  This experience allowed Cory to participate in all aspects of the business where he gained experience in business management.  Cory is currently a Business Counseolor at the Nevada Small Business Development Center where he assists startup and existing businesses with business planning, funding, marketing, and strategy.

He has a thirst for knowledge; attending many industry trade show courses, acquiring a Bachelor of Science in Management with an emphasis in Management Information Systems from the University of Akron, Ohio, and going back for his Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship at the University of Nevada, Reno.  He hopes to continue his education in economics and project management after he receives his MBA at the end of the year.
